I’ve spent over 15 years refining my craft as a full-time wedding and portrait photographer here in Maine, with a background in social work that still informs how I connect with families and tell their stories. I’m also a single mama to the most amazing teenager, and live with three ridiculous (and ridiculously cute) dogs — a golden retriever/lab puppy, a spunky little shih‑pom, and a golden cockapoo who basically thinks he runs the house.
Whether we’re laughing during a family session or soaking up the golden light on your wedding day, my goal is simple: I want you to see yourself in these images — the love, the joy, the connection — exactly as it is.
At Darling Photography, it’s never just about the photos — it’s about the feeling. The clients who are drawn to my work care deeply about connection. You’re not here for stiff poses or forced smiles — you want honest, artful images that feel like you. We’ll still guide you gently with direction (promise!), but the goal is always to capture the in-between moments, the true-to-life colors, and the genuine energy between you and your people.
You don’t have to love being in front of the camera — most of my clients don’t! But you do value the experience, and you know the final images will be worth it. Darling clients trust me to make it feel fun, easy, and maybe even magical. Together, we create more than photos — we create a memory.
