Up here in the Northeast, Bridal Sessions are a rare (and beautiful) add on to wedding photography. I’m not sure why it’s not more popular up here but I wish it were. I think a bridal session is the perfect way to see how incredible you’ll look and feel on your wedding day, gets you comfortable with your photographer, gives you the option to shoot in a completely different setting than your wedding venue and results in a true heirloom for you and your family. Typically the Bride’s family chooses their favorite image to print and show at the wedding reception. Why aren’t we doing this, ladies?! I know that for my clients, a lot of my brides are coming in from out of state and enjoying a wonderful Destination Wedding in Maine BUT that doesn’t mean that you can’t set up a time to shoot when you’re visiting for your caterer tasting or venue visit. Let’s make bridal sessions a thing again! (Also perfect for those brides who love two dresses but can only wear ONE at their ceremony and for photos, and another during their reception!)
