I met Karen and Kevin for the first time at their home, where I arrived for their engagement session. Karen greeted me outside (looking absolutely perfect) and it was instant sparks. As soon as I saw these two as a couple, I knew they would be at ease in front of the camera! And they absolutely were. We started their session outside their home on Little Sebago Lake. This is probably the sweetest outdoor space I’ve ever seen – perfect for hosting their friends and family, gorgeous lakefront and a photographer’s favorite: great light. I think Kevin did that for me on purpose because he’s a photographer, too, so he gets it. After we wandered their backyard, Karen and Kevin took me out on their pontoon boat where I was in heaven and the two of them felt right at home. Some couples want to be photographed in as many locations as possible but these two made my day when we watched the sun set together out on the lake. The rest of their session was done in or around their boat. The sky was full of soft pinks that night (and a beautiful moon in the distance) while we talked about their wedding day. Once the session was over we went back to their home and it was time for me to head out (to start the culling and editing process, obviously). Only, I didn’t leave for another hour because we started talking about everything. I truly found my people in Karen and Kevin and I am so excited to spend their wedding day capturing their true love for each other and the connection they have. Is there really anything better?
