I was so thrilled when Halliday and Ruben emailed me from Asia about their wedding here in Maine. Without talking to either of them on the phone, we put all of our plans in place. I met them on Mongehan Island on Friday for a quick engagement session and to photograph their rehearsal dinner. The best part of this is that I was able to spend the evening with ALL (but two) of their guests. By the time Saturday came I felt like one of them! I met Halliday and her sister, Hawthorne in her adorable cottage and shortly after that Ruben met us on the porch. His expression upon seeing Halliday was incredible and I fell even more in love with them. We did their portraits as we walked to the lighthouse on the island and had the BEST VIEW EVER. Halliday and Hawthorne danced the time away while they waited for their guests to arrive, then Halliday met Ruben at the top of the hill. I’ve never had a bride ACTUALLY jump for joy after she was married (seriously, right at the end of the aisle!) but it was the sweetest thing I’ve ever seen. I am in awe of Halliday and Ruben’s love.
